Hi all! I've posted info on order updates here, so take a moment and check it out if you are waiting on an order from the recent release! This picture is my new office space at the end of Day 1. I originally was going to convert a porch into the new office but the GC came back with a 20K bid so we went with plan B! Plan B consists of turning our formal living room into the new MFT homequarters and then walling in the porch and using it as overflow storage to help me maintain a larger inventory (with ideally plenty of stock for each release!). We went to Ikea, which after a 3 year wait finally opened on November 14th in Orlando (Yes, I do have the date committed to memory) and purchased a desk and ample storage to help me run more smoothly and efficiently. You will also notice my smallest helper, Emma, who runs like a madwoman whenever there are cameras around to make sure she's in every frame despite her loathing for clothes. Yes, my daughter is most often only in underwear. She has clothes, we put them on her each morning and shortly after breakfast they are wadded up in a pile somewhere in the house. Can any of you relate? (Please!)

OHMYGOSH. . .how much do you LOVE Ikea? I did a blog post all about it a few weeks ago, after we had been in Orlando. I think I would have spent the night there if I could have!!!! Hey - thanks for adding me to your list of blogs! Awesome! Your new room looks great!!! Love the clothes-less kiddo . . .i have one of those in my house too! :)
I love it!!!!!!!! Looks amazing!
How exciting! And I havent met anyone who doesnt LOVE Ikea! We were going to move to Vegas a few years ago and one of the drawbacks was that they didnt have and Ikea, LOL! We would have had to drive to L.A!
My oldest is a shirt and panties only gal. We are in potty training OVERTIME and it just doesnt work well constantly taking them off. One day she will wear a whole outfit.
What a great desk Kim!! Now, I want to see it next month just before & after the release! :) And your daughter is tooooo cute! Can't shed much light though . . it's waaaay to cold here to run around clothes-less! :)
I TOTALLY relate. My 4 year old never has clothes on besideds the undies...I'm just so glad that its not a fight to get him to keep those on! I don't remember having this problem with any of the other 3 kids...

Oh, yes -- you know I can totally relate to the almost-naked girls, Kim, LOL! Great new office space -- I'm sure you are loving it!
Great idea for your office space, Kim. It will keep you nearer the family "central" and your porch can really serve well for storage as your business grows. Emma is adorable as always.
Love that desk Kim. Don't have an IKEA near me, so I have no idea how great they are, but I sure can relate to the almost naked girl thing. Don't worry, there will come a time when she'll want to be covered and will want a wardrobe that will cost an a fortune. Mine is sure trying out the fortune bit. You should see us arguing in the store about her shopping limit.
I love Ikea! Looks so clean...can't wait to see it in a few weeks! My four year old boy never wants to be without clothes! He loves them...changing his outfit several times a day. He loves getting new ones too. It's kinda cute now, but ugh, he's gonna be a high maintenance teenager!
I feel so much better knowing it's not just my daughter who does that! When she does have clothes on, it has to be a dress and has to be pink. Try shopping for that....I almost think her going w/o clothes is easier than trying to find a pink dress EVERYDAY! Love your new digs!
I read your post to my hubby about your daughter not wearing clothes and I said " I used to be like that at her age" and he retorted back with "You still are". I would go around in my undies all day if I could.. Noone wants to see that though!! LOL I can't wait to get my new stamps to play with even though I haven't even played with the ones I ordered last time. Bad Bad Girl I know!! Have a great weekend.
OMGosh, Your DD Emma reminds me of my 3 yr old DD Madison! LoL That girl ALWAYS runs around in panties when she can.Sometimes I wonder why I even waste time helping her get dressed! Here I was thinking it was only MY crazy child! TFS HaHa
Good Luck with the remodeling Kim!
I wish we had an Ikea up here. That being said........... my son was forever running around with a pamper only! My oldest granddaughter always ran around with only a pamper or her underwear. She loved being as freee from her clothing as my daughter would allow her to be. Cherish these days. :)

I so love seeing how people "redo" their spaces..I so need to make the 100+ mile trip to the "local" IKEA....TFS
Hi Kim! I'm totally digging your new office...it looks great! My hubby has put in a transfer back to our hometown and if he gets it...I get a new and bigger craft room! One word - YAY!!! I remembered reading about your new work space with Ikea furniture and came to check out your blog. Awesome! As for Ms. Emma's lack of clothing...well how old is she, 5 or so? My little critter, Ellie is 5 and I swear that's her too...any chance and it's underwear city baby! lol...kids! My 7 yr old is the same...don't know what it is w/kids and no clothes..I dunno!
Happy New Year!
Erica
